ice maker has never made much ice and had failed twice in one year. first time it was replaced under warranty, the second no service call available because of covid.

we remodeled our kitchen and we decided to buy all samsung new appliances, got new microwave , stove and this beautiful 4 door refrigerator (almost $3k), all in black stainless steel. unfortunately, the beauty didnt last, exactly one year after ice maker stopped working, my husband called samsung and they installed new ice maker, now almost 2 years after we originally bought it , ice maker again not working!. we are so disappointed, at this point i wish i can sell it and buy a different brand .

Color coating came off in 7 months.

bought back in april 2021 and the color coating is coming off already. called technician and he called it a physical damage without even looking into detail. after 2 more weeks there are lots of other small pieces coming out all over. called samsung again, they say its reported as a physical damage forever. samsung, this is a rip off. please take care of your cusotmer.

caveat: i have a slightly different one (from 2017). they might have changed the ice maker design since. i love the self-filling pitcher even though it does leak a bit when pouring. adjustable shelves, the middle drawer, power consumption, all great. the achilles heal: ice maker. being within the normal refrigerated section means it has low capacity but crucially, it struggles. ours was constantly freezing over. several repairs later (new unit and main board) and now it both freezes over and produces half-frozen ice. customer support did behave well though. tried to repair it several times, finally refunded a partial amount. enough for me to buy a dedicated ice maker and continue to use this fridge. adjust your expectations accordingly and for the right price this is a good product.

we purchased a complete set of appliances and were told via chat that we would receive additional promo items. after 3 phone attempts each time being redirected i finally choose to try to chat online. online the reps are stating i didn't understand the what was originally communicated to me, although i have a copy of the chat in front of me. very difficult to work with. this is to expensive of products to buy with poor customer service. bestbuy, local shops and even amazon would be a better bet for service.
