Ice maker failure and inside refrigerator freezing

this refrigerator is the second one i have owned of the exact model. first model's ice maker was repaired multiple times to no satisfaction. the ice maker continued to freeze up and not function. we received a buyout for the first unit and was told the issue was fixed with the new models. we purchased the same model to match all the appliances in our kitchen. after 2 years the ice maker quit working, water dispenser quit working properly, the light doesn't illuminate, and there is ice crystals forming inside the ice machine and inside of the refrigerator area. i have had nothing but problems from samsung's customer service. each refrigerator has become defective around the two year mark. i highly discourage anyone from purchasing a samsung refrigerator.

Ice Maker Sux and Repair is even worse.

this unit is four years old and we have replaced the ice maker four times. i think it's about time samsung replaced it with a new unit. this model is clearly flawed. we have a lemon law in missouri. i guess i will need to file a claim unless i receive a manufacturer response.

we bought this fridge12/2018, it's now 09/2021 - less than 3 years old and i'm having to buy a new fridge today. i feel completely ripped off. our fridge before this lasted more than 10 years and still worked great, we just wanted a bigger/upgraded one. the icemaker never worked right. service tech came out within the first year to fix a known issue that supposedly would fix it - it still continued to freeze up . the dispenser on the door stopped working for crushed ice first - and then it wouldn't dispense ice at all, but we could pull out the ice drawer in the fridge and manually get ice. now it won't work at all. the doors are uneven. the space making shelf collapses on itself. the divider in the fridge drawer is broken. very hard to disassemble & clean. character limit reached.

i wish i had seen all the reviews on the problems with the ice maker as we quickly started to experience the same trouble. we fixed it only to have it stop working again a few weeks later (ice build up in the machine). i wouldn't recommend this brand based on our experience with the appliances we got - we're also having issues with our microwave and stove!
