A little glitchy

My first piece of toast took 15 minutes to broil at 550 degrees. This happens about a third of the times I use the broiler, have to to turn the oven off and restart to get the broiler to fully heat. Just living with it because I can't keep taking off work to wait on a repairman, but a brand new expensive oven ought to work better. Electronic controls often have to be pushed more than once. Can't hear the timer go off unless actually in the kitchen. I do like that it's bigger inside than my previous same-size wall oven.

I bought this oven and after I installed it, I had no issue operating it with the app on my phone. The next day, the app wouldn’t work. I followed all instructions to troubleshoot, including forgetting the network on the oven and reinstalling the network on the oven, deleting the app on my phone and reinstalling, and even installing a brand new router in my house. I called customer service and he told me there was an update happening and that I should give it 24 hours. I told him I’d give it 3 days, so we will see. Other than that, the oven works fine with the manual controls, although the touchscreen is a little touchy to operate. It would be nice if the app worked, because it’s very hard to hear the timer on the oven from a different room (even with the volume on the loudest setting), and getting an alert on my phone would tell me when the timer is done. If I can get the app to work the oven, I would have no problem giving this oven at least 4 stars.

If you happen to be a senior - and it is reasonable to assume that you may be given the tendency to longevity these days - then you would be looking for simplicity and reliability. This product does not have the former, and only time will tell for the latter.

Loud cooling fan

Very good oven with smooth bottom (heating element not visible). Too bad it needs a continuously running cooling fan while my 40 year old oven did not (had one for self cleaning cycle only). OK, the low speed is silent but the high speed (usually only on cleaning cycle) is howling and it kicks in when the door is opened a little bit too long.
