Poor quality

I bought this stove 1 1/2 years ago to replace the 30 inch 4 burner electric cooktop that was 28 years ago. I am very disappointed in this cooktop compared to the older model. It is made with very cheap thin metal. The metal top heats up to a very high temperature that one can get burned once a burner is turned on. Also, the burner pans under the coils burn up and turn a black grey, to never return to the shiny metal that they were. I have had to purchase burner pans 4 different times to replace them. The metal surface has buckled in front of the right front burner from the intense heat that is given off. This cooktop is dangerous with having small grandchildren around who may touch the cooktop while in use.

Works great but stove top plate has all the writing worn off (including your Whirlpool label)and I’m the first person to use it. Not sure what happened here.
