i agree with the previous reviews. if you have an older model refrigerator, samsung’s water filter will no longer fit. i did exactly as 1 customer did. i used to get my filters from lowes. i bought 2 at 1 point for convenience as they were sold out at a time i needed it. months went by and when i tried to replace it, lo and behold it didn’t fit. i got weary trying to make it fit. then i compared the old versus the new. the top that secures the unit in the housing was different. i called samsung and was told i have to replace the housing at my expense. that’s not how you treat your customers. i have to replace the door gaskets often too. only 1 small child at home. the price of the gasket now more than doubles, $94+ on amazon.

i’ve purchased my 2-door refrigerator in 2015. samsung decided to change the locking key of the water filter so i cannot use them, making the water filtration useless. never buy samsung again.

Water tastes lousy!

I just installed a new filter and followed the directions. The tastes lousy! It's never done that before. Took out the new filter and the water tastes like regular old city water.

When our refrigerator filter light came on we shopped at home depot for a replacement. They had one, we bought it, and it leaked. No matter how tightly I cranked it. Called Samsung, asked if they had one available, and they did. It fit and it doesn't leak. Expensive, but it fits.
